Custom Wood Shutters & Blinds was originated in the garage of Gary Boyer and Kathi Ash in Irvine CA in 1989. Gary worked like mad and grew a very successful business that moved into a showroom in Tustin before too long. His focus, quality products with expert craftsmanship. Kathi handled all of the scheduling and the showroom, her focus being customer care and satisfaction.
Over the years the business grew and in 1995 Gary brought on his son, Eron, to take over installation side of the business. The trio made quite a team caring for families all the way up in Brea, Yorba Linda, and Fullerton all the way down to Dana Point, San Clemente and all the cities in between.
In 2009, Gary fulfilled his dream of an early retirement. Eron took over the show and Kathi stayed on for another year to make sure the transition was a success.
January 2010 marked the official and complete hand off to the second generation of Boyers. Eron and his wife Cindi love what they do and will continue to provide the highest level of service to all of the CWS&B’s family of customers. As of 2024 we have a tight knit team of five (well four and a half, Andrew is part time as needed): Eron, Cindi, Mark, Maryam and Andrew.
Cindi grew up in New Jersey and moved Orange County about 1994. First landing in Laguna Hills, then on to Irvine, finally settling in Tustin about 1996. Eron and Cindi were introduced through a mutual friend at their church in 2006, married in 2008 and the rest is history. You’ll always see her with sparkly nails and very often colorful hair.
Eron grew up in Silverado Canyon, living all of his life here in Orange County. It is a wonder to think that he has now surpassed Gary’s experience and time in the window covering industry! In his spare time (Eron, don’t laugh at that!) he enjoys mountain biking and home improvement projects.

We are only 10 minutes away from the John Wayne Airport, South Coast Plaza and Fashion Island. As well, we are only 20 minutes away from Disneyland and Angels Stadium. We love complimenting a Dana Point, Newport Beach or San Clemente ocean view with our superb window fashions.
